Upon graduating from the ChangeMaker Academy, individuals will have the opportunity to become fellows for a duration of one year. As part of this fellowship, each fellow will receive a stipend of $1500, which will serve as a valuable resource to support and enhance their respective projects.
Purpose Statement: My profound passion lies in financial education and homeownership, and my purpose is to empower individuals and their families by providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to make well-informed financial decisions and achieve sustainable homeownership.
Community Project: The Financial Literacy for Future Leaders workshop aims to equip youth between the ages of 10 and 18 with essential knowledge and skills to responsibly manage their finances.
Purpose Statement: My goal is to engage and support disadvantaged entrepreneurs by providing equitable opportunities, coaching, mentoring, counseling, and training in various domains such as research, product development, technology, finance, and marketing.
Community Project: I aim to offer capacity building, business support services, business development, and coaching to startups and small and medium enterprises, enabling them to thrive.
Purpose Statement: I am driven by my creativity and strategic vision to showcase the transformative power of food sovereignty and land stewardship.
Community Project: As a ChangeMakerFellow, I will initiate a fundraising campaign to acquire and renovate a house near our urban farm in North Omaha. This house will serve as a storage and processing facility to support our farm operations, while also acting as a neighborhood hub for food sovereignty and urban agriculture.
Purpose Statement: The Guiding Light Foundation's purpose is to serve as a guiding light for low-income families within our community. We strive to meet their basic needs, provide a safe space, and offer opportunities for growth through mentorship, educational programs, and nutritious meals.
Community Project: With the invaluable support of community partners like Spark’s Fellowship Program, the Guiding Light Foundation will continue organizing upcoming events such as our GLF Summer Day Camps. These camps provide a wide range of events and activities for the benefit of the community we serve.
