What is the ChangeMaker Academy?
This March, the ChangeMaker Academy will offer a half-day workshop focused on community development, sustainability, budgeting basics (Budgeting 101), project refinement, pitching, and advocacy. After completing the workshop, select participants will be invited to join the ChangeMakers Fellowship. Fellows will receive up to $2,000 in project funding (+ a $500 stipend) to support implementation costs for a place-based project, focused on the North Omaha Trail, which must be finished by the end of December 2026.
The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Fabric Lab, located at 2514 N 24th St, Omaha, NE 68110. Lunch will be provided. Attendance is mandatory.
Participants will be responsible for securing their own computer with Microsoft Excel capability to use in class.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on February 26, 2026. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 7, 2026.
